To mark the occasion, the port town of Castelnaudary plays host to a fantastic, family-friendly community festival. Think local gastronomy, live music, riverboats, rugby, and the shade of the iconic plane trees (platanes). It is the perfect excuse to spend a day down by one of the South of France's most historic and beautiful waterways.
