Mother Nature decided to complicate things recently by dropping a landslide on the RN-20. It is certainly not ideal, and our hearts go out to the brilliant local shops, restaurants, and independent businesses of Pas de la Casa who have taken a real economic hit because of the resulting road closure.
However, Andorra has responded in the most wonderfully Andorran way possible: they are essentially paying you to come and visit.
If you are looking for a brilliant excuse for a mountain getaway, this is absolutely it. Here is everything you need to know about claiming your free fuel.
How the Occitanie Free Fuel Scheme Works
If your car is registered anywhere in the Occitanie region (that includes all of us residing across any of the 13 local departments!), you are eligible for a fantastic incentive.
🎫 The Deal: You can pick up a FREE €30 fuel voucher every single week, just by popping into the Pas de la Casa Tourist Office when you arrive.
Travelling in a larger group? Buses and coaches with 30 or more seats are being looked after too—they can claim a whopping €200 voucher!
Unbeatable Prices in Pas de la Casa
The vouchers are redeemable at any Andorran petrol station. When you combine a free €30 coupon with the fact that fuel in Andorra is already among the cheapest in Europe, filling up your tank becomes an absolute bargain.
Beyond the fuel savings, it is business as usual in the mountains:
-
The duty-free shops are fully open.
-
The snow conditions are fantastic.
-
The local restaurants are ready to welcome you with open arms.
The only thing missing from the picture is you!
Important Details & Conditions
The scheme is temporary and will run specifically until the RN-20 fully or partially reopens to normal traffic. Because of this, don't hang about—make sure to plan your drive soon!
To claim your voucher, remember to bring along:
-
Your ID card or passport.
-
Your vehicle’s registration document (carte grise) to prove your Occitanie address.
